November 16, 2020
Dear Families and Students,
As many of you know, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issued an emergency epidemic order that starts at 12:00 am on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 and continues through 11:59 pm December 8, 2020. This order mandated that high school students move to virtual/remote learning.
After thoughtful consideration and guidance from our local health department, Central Montcalm Public Schools has decided to move to virtual/remote learning for all students Pre K- 12th grade beginning on November 18th.
Virtual/remote learning requires communication and cooperation between families and staff. Please regularly check for emails, texts, messages and the CM website. It is important to note that instruction will not look like it did last spring. Students will be expected to continue with new learning which teachers will deliver according to the current curriculum scope and sequence. Participation of all students is required.
Our community’s safety will always be a priority at Central Montcalm. Please follow the guidelines given from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Governor's Office so that we can return to in person learning on December 9th.
Principals will be reaching out with more specific information.
Amy Meinhardt, Superintendent
