District Food Service Meal Policies

Central Montcalm Public School Food Service Department

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve your family school meals. We strive to serve delicious, well balanced meals in a safe, cheerful and caring environment.

Safety remains our top priority. Students, staff and parents can have peace of mind knowing that our plans are rooted in the most stringent health and safety practice aligned with federal and state regulations, along with local health department recommendations.

COMMUNITY ELIGIBILITY PROVISION (CEP)

We are pleased to inform you that Central Montcalm Public Schools will again be participating in an option available to schools as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2023-2024 school year. This means breakfast and lunch will be free to all students!

Take advantage of this option to ensure your child eats a nutritious breakfast and lunch. A nutritious meal helps students be more alert so they can actively participate in class.

All families MUST fill out the confidential Household Information Report on line.  Please go to Final Forms and complete the Food Service portion.

WHAT DOES MY STUDENT’S MEAL LOOK LIKE?

What can my child expect at mealtime? Breakfast will contain a milk, a fruit or 100% juice and an entrée. Lunch will contain a protein item, a whole grain item, 100% juice, fresh or canned fruit, fresh vegetable and milk. Eating foods from each of the food groups is the only way to ensure students are receiving all essential nutrients.

Start your day off right with breakfast and complete it with a great lunch!
